About The Founder


    Olubukola Hassan was born in Ibadan, Oyo state, Nigeria. A lady with multidisciplinary background; She is a graduate of Osun State College of Education Ilesha, she has a Bachelor degree in Agriculture from University of Benin, Benin–city also holds a Master Degree in Business Administration from Ambrose Alli University both in Nigeria. She later trained as a Mental Health Nurse at De Monfort University, Leicester, in the United Kingdom. Olubukola is a trained teacher and a registered Mental Health Nurse in the United Kingdom.

    ‘Bukky’ as she is fondly called has gained international experience working with many reputable organizations in the UK , including BUPA one of the leading health care providers in the UK. Upon her return to Nigeria, she has contributed her own quota by working in a centre for psychological medicine in Abuja.

    She has worked to a large extent in the field of psychiatry both in rendering services in the community to support people living with mental illness in their own home and also in the care setting facility. Currently she has dedicated her time to campaign towards creating awareness about mental health in Nigeria using diverse means to reach out to the larger society. She has been contributing to the health sector through her column, BRAINWAVES in the City People magazine, she is also a contributing writer of Executive health in the Guardian Daily Newspaper and has done quite a lot of talk shows on the radio & TV. She is also working on soliciting with the government to make psychiatric services free in Nigeria. Olubukola is happily married.
